The SEAL Analytical BD50 Block Digestion System was specifically designed for the digestion of large numbers of samples prior to analysis. The microprocessor controls the rate of heating, temperature and time of digestions. It is comprised of a 50 position block accommodating either 75 mL or 100 mL glass tubes, the programmable controller, tube rack, cooling stand and one set of digestion tubes. The block gently heats the samples to the required temperature and holds the samples at that temperature for a programmed period of time.
Also available is the BD28 Block Digestion System which accommodates 28 x 250 mL glass tubes.
The most common digestions include those for total Kjeldahl nitrogen, total Kjeldahl phosphorus, COD, total metals and mercury. Major sample types include all types of waters, sludges, soils and plants.
